Pilates Instructor

I found Pilates in 2016 and absolutely loved it! I have had lots of injuries, aches and pains from playing competitive sports and collegiate volleyball. For a long time I was looking for something that would help strengthen and heal my body and was so happy when I found Pilates as it did just that. I was encouraged to start the training program to become a certified instructor.
I am so glad I took that advice as it has helped heal my own body as well as my students,
which has been so rewarding! 
I have been an Esthetician for 21 years helping people feel happy, healthy, and good about themselves. I plan to do the same with Pilates!
I have 2 amazing daughters, one that is in high school and one in college. Always keeping me busy and on my toes. On occasion I have some down time and I like to paddle board, find beautiful hiking trails, going to the beach and just relaxing by my pool

My Pilate’s journey started in 2004 and was centered around building my core strength, flexibility, weight loss, toning as well as stress management. I fell in love with all the benefits derived from Pilates – in health, mind and body.  Ask me about my personal experiences, of using Pilates while traveling, learning from diverse instructors throughout the US and now helping others develop a love for movement with Pilates

Melissa Pruden

I have now been teaching Pilates since 2016 and absolutely love it. I am is also a 500 hour certified yoga teacher as well as a barre instructor trained in the Dailey Method. I have a degree in International Communications and spent 12 years at Intel as an IT Business Analyst. I really enjoy gymnastics, soccer and are a true triathlete although the the mindful movement of Pilates and yoga tops it all for me. My Pilates training is through Pilates Sports Center with continuing education through Balanced Body. I enjoy blending classical and contemporary Pilates repertoire and my classes will help you move and feel better! When not in the studio, I am out having fun around Folsom with my husband, two daughters, and giant sheepadoodle!
